The influence of legislation on the availability of NPS: Monitoring the impact in darknet cryptomarkets
The most common way tackling the appearance of new psychoactive substances (NPS) has been legislative change. But, how does these legislative changes for NPS affect its availability in the darknet markets? What is happening with 3-MMC in the darknet after the legislative changes in NL? This research, continuation of the EU-wide SCANNER project, keeps answering this question by following the availability of different NPSs in three major darknet cryptomarkets in 2022. Using a prospective method, monthly datapoints and a new script developed to automatically extract information on different variables associated with the availability and demand of these substances in the Darknet Markets nowadays.
