Born in 1961 in Switzerland, Franz Treichler is a very eclectic musician. He is the founder member and singer of « The Young Gods », an electronic rock band that exists since 37 years. Many international tours and an avant-garde sound production have made « The Young Gods » a reference in the musical world. You can hear their music in Hollywood productions, underground short movies, theatre pieces or in the most unexpected places : they have designed together with anthropologue Jeremy Narby a sonic conference called « Amazonia Ambient Project ». Parallelly to his work with « The Young Gods », Franz Treichler has collaborated 7 years with Gilles Jobin’s contemporary dance company, produced and remixed many international bands, performed with visual artists, soundtracked live 1920’s experimental movies and recorded indigenous people in Amazonia. . Franz Treichler was the Winner of the Swiss Grand Award for Music in 2014.
