GENDERING HARM REDUCTION: LEARNING FROM WOMXN WHO USE

culture health and safety

Womxn and harm reduction is still a relatively underrated topic in professional and scientific discourse. What do womxn specifically need to be able to minimize risks related to drug use? How can we manage to provide womxn with more and research-based information? What do womxn need to be safer (not only) in nightlife? How can we create spaces in which womxn can move more safely without permanently being solely responsible for their health and safety? Starting from the principles and practices of harm reduction by declining them from a gender perspective may be a good starting point. The workshop aims to go through these questions together starting from everyone's experience to try to co-construct new practices that can restore power to subjectivities that are too often neglected.
